Carolina is a graphic designer and bookmaker who works on commissioned and self-initiated projects in the fields of art, anthropology, culture, and fashion. Her projects have a strong focus on photography, typesetting, and visual narratives. Often moved to create new in-between spaces of thought and sensible beauty, Carolina explores design from the theory and practice, giving equal attention to form and content.

Based between Zurich (CH) and Barcelona (ES), Carolina has been combining analogue graphic and editorial projects presented in Helmhaus Zurich, Löwenbräukunst Zurich, and VOLUMES Independent Art Publishing Fair, among others, with working as a creative director for the swiss sustainable fashion brand Jungle Folk, and as an art assistant for the curator and cultural landscape specialist Lisa Lee Benjamin, founder of the two art galleries Kulturfolger (www.kulturfolger.ch) and Amöbe (www.amoebe.ch).

Carolina graduated with distinction in June 2022 in Master of Design, Visual Communication at the Zurich University of the Arts #ZHdK with her project Speaking Bread. Relationships beyond Materiality, awarded with the Zürcher ZHdK Förderpreis Design Award 2022.

Carolina is working on a new book about the experience of her artistic residency between Barcelona and Vietnam through Curtidas Art Residency in 2018. A deep exploration of the sacred and the ritual.
